Waiting on Wednesday (20)

Awsh, I missed posting my Teaser Tuesday post. I totally forgot since we have an AWESOME GIVEAWAY happening right now. If you want to WIN A COPY of Adele Griffin's PICTURE OF THE DEAD, you might want to check my post before this one ;)

For this week, I have 3 books I am really anticipating the release of. Really. You just don't know how much I want to read them so bad.

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

Title: Forgotten by Cat Patrick
Release Date: June 7th 2011
Published by: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Summary (from Cat's website):

Past. Present. Future. Which matters most?

Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her memory of that day is erased. In the morning, all London can “remember” are events from her future and the people who will play a part in it. In order to get by, London relies on reminder notes and a trusted friend to navigate relationships and high school life. Adaptable by nature, she tries to view her memory loss as a fact of life rather than a condition. But when London starts experiencing disturbing flashbacks, or flashforwards, as the case may be, she realizes that in order to understand her present and her future, she must solve the mystery of her past.
Note: The summary from Goodreads differs a bit with the one in Cat's website. I might have accidentally spoiled myself with this summary. ^^

Title: Are You Going to Kiss Me Now? by Sloane Tanen
Release Date: May 1st 2011
Published by: Sourcebooks Fire

High school junior Francesca Manning is an outsider, an aspiring writer and secret devourer of celebrity gossip mags. A fake essay to Seventeen wins her the celeb-schmoozing opportunity of a lifetime, but after the plane crashes, she’s stranded on a desert island with five of the most clueless, self-involved headcases to escape Hollywood. Happily skewering their foibles in witty observations on her iPhone proves surprisingly educational for Francesca. The group must work together to survive—if they don’t insult each other to death first.

Title: Demon Kissed by H.M. Ward
Release Date: TBA (2011)
Published by: TBA (?)

Demon Kissed tells the story of Ivy Taylor, a seventeen year old girl, who is claimed by both the Martis (people chosen to protect humanity from evil), and the demon kissed Valefar (soulless servants of Hell).

While learning to survive in this new reality, Ivy discovers that she is at the center of a prophecy that foretold of her unleashing unprecedented evil into the world. Ivy relies on her friends, and finds herself in a forbidden romance, while trying to save the world.

Why I'm waiting for Forgotten:

The summary is just beautiful. It tugged on my heart strings when I first read it from Little Brown's catalog, and it didn't help that it has a beautiful cover art! (though its not final yet) This zipped right up my TBR/To-buy list for next year.

Why I'm waiting for Are You Going to Kiss Me Now?:

For some reason the summary made me laugh out loud. A seventeen year old stranded in an island with 5 celebrities? Wow! Wonder what'll happen to them? And it looks like Sourcebooks' got an awesome line-up next year!

Why I'm waiting for Demon Kissed:

Who isn't? No seriously, I've read the 1st chapter from the official site and it's totally love~ And the cover is gorgeous as well! I'm waiting to see how H.M. Ward will "re-invent" demons in this novel, so I can't really wait. I hope this releases soon~
