Title: All That Glows by Ryan GraudinWant? Add to your Goodreads list!
Release Date: February 11th 2014
Published by: HarperTeen
Summary (from Goodreads):
Emrys—a fiery, red-headed Fae—always embraced her life in the Highlands, far from the city’s draining technology, until she’s sent to London to rejoin the Faery Guard. But this isn’t any normal assignment—she’s sent to guard Prince Richard: Britain’s notorious, partying bad boy and soon-to-be King. The prince’s careless ways and royal blood make him the irresistible for the dark spirits that feed on mortals. Sweet, disheveled, and alive with adventure—Richard is one charge who will put Emrys’s magic and heart to the test.
When an ancient force begins preying on the monarchy, Emrys must hunt through the London’s magical underworld, facing down Banshees, Black Dogs and Green Women to find the one who threatens Richard’s life. In this chaos of dark magic, palace murders and paparazzi, Emrys finds herself facing an impossible choice. For despite all her powers, Emrys has discovered a force that burns brighter than magic: love.
Why I'm waiting for All That Glows:
I must admit that I got curious at first because of the gorgeous cover, but since I've liked a lot of the faerie themed books I've read so far, I wanted to give this one a try. A faery and a prince... what a curious combination. It gives the same feeling as Kiki Hamilton's The Faerie Ring but I really want to know how this one is different from all the other faerie books I've read before.
Title: Fates (Fates #1) by Lanie BrossWant? Add to your Goodreads list!
Release Date: February 11th 2014
Published by: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Summary (from Goodreads):
What if your destiny was to kill the one you love?
One moment. One foolish desire. One mistake. And Corinthe lost everything.
She fell from her tranquil life in Pyralis Terra and found herself exiled to the human world. Her punishment? To make sure people’s fates unfold according to plan. Now, years later, Corinthe has one last assignment: kill Lucas Kaller. His death will be her ticket home.
But for the first time, Corinthe feels a tingle of doubt. It begins as a lump in her throat, then grows toward her heart, and suddenly she feels like she’s falling all over again—this time for a boy she knows she can never have. Because it is written: one of them must live, and one of them must die.
In a universe where every moment, every second, every fate has already been decided, where does love fit in?
Why I'm waiting for Fates:
Can someone please give me a copy of this book right now? And I mean now! I want it so bad! I think I was sold the moment I finished reading the first sentence of the summary. And what a way to finish it off, eh? With that kind of question? It sounds so awesome, so intriguing, I will expect no less than a heart wrenching, heart stopping story. Beautiful summary!
