Title: Touch (A Denazen Novel) by Jus AccardoWant? Add to your Goodreads shelf!
Release Date: November 1st 2011
Published by: Entangled Publishing
Summary (from Goodreads):
When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.
Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy—and her father’s “law firm”—than she realized.
Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.
A secret Kale will kill to protect.
Why I'm waiting for Touch:
I'm such a sucker for descriptions like "mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes". The summary is curiously similar to Shatter Me, only this time it's a boy with a touch that kills. I had to re-read the summary three times before I realized that. I'm really curious about this now!
Title: The Next Door Boys by Jolene B. PerryWant? Add to your Goodreads shelf!
Release Date: October 8th 2011
Published by: Cedar Fort, Inc.
Summary (from Goodreads):
With her body still recovering from last year's cancer treatments, Leigh Tressman is determined to be independent. Despite the interference from her overprotective brother, the ever-expanding line of young men ready to fall in love with her--not to mention the physical frustrations and spiritual dilemmas Leigh discovers what it actually means to stand on her own and learns that love can be found in unexpected but comfortable places.
Why I'm waiting for The Next Door Boys:
I'm on a contemporary kick lately, so upon scanning through the summary, I just felt like I should read this. It sounds like it has a lot to offer, romance, a little bit of drama and a ton of lessons for the readers.
