I am on a YA contemporary reading streak lately, and I've got my eye on Saving June for months after seeing it on Goodreads and reading all the rave reviews about it. So you can just imagine how excited I am for this! This has been released early in Australia, May 1st!
I'm pretty sure you've seen the cover for both the Australian version and the US version. No? Well check it out below:

And now I am sharing to you what the entire book cover looks like:
I love how drastically different this is from the Australian cover. I love the earth tones, even the rose petals, which gives color to the entire cover. At first glance it doesn't even look like a cover for a YA book, but I like the overall feel for this version.
So maybe you have no idea what Saving June is, if not, read through the summary below and tell me what you think.
You can also click on the cover if you want to save a hi-resolution version of the cover.
‘If she’d waited less than two weeks, she’d be June who died in June. But I guess my sister didn’t consider that.’
Harper Scott’s older sister has always been the perfect one so when June takes her own life a week before her high school graduation, sixteen-year-old Harper is devastated. Everyone’s sorry, but no one can explain why.
When her divorcing parents decide to split her sister’s ashes into his-and-her urns, Harper takes matters into her own hands. She’ll steal the ashes and drive cross-country with her best friend, Laney, to the one place June always dreamed of going California.
Enter Jake Tolan. He’s a boy with a bad attitude, a classic-rock obsession and nothing in common with Harper’s sister. But Jake had a connection with June, and when he insists on joining them, Harper’s just desperate enough to let him. With his alternately charming and infuriating demeanour and his belief that music can see you through anything, he might be exactly what she needs.
Except June wasn’t the only one hiding something. Jake’s keeping a secret that has the power to turn Harper’s life upside down again.
I've been told that the new release date is December 2011, but you can start checking your bookstores as early as November 29th for copies of this!

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
