Mabuhay!

Hello there, my name is Kai. I'm a Filipina, and there are three things that I love. One, obviously, is Japan (thus the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu, reference), two, would be Korea (for the love of Kpop!) and three, BOOKS. I have an older brother, an older sister and a twin brother (who, unlike me, detests books). I'm a big fan of "guy" sports (boxing, MMA, baseball, F1, basketball, billiards, you name it), and a bit boyish too. I'm a daydreamer and I love Japanese cuisine!

I got my love for books from my mom, and it was the books she collects that got me into reading ever since I was little. From Sweet Valley High, to Harry Potter, until now, I still love reading and I don't think I'll stop reading in the near future.

When I'm taking a break from reading, I love to write. No luck so far in finishing any of my novels. I'm also a fangirl. Occasionally you'll see mentions about Asian pop or anime, but that's just who I really am. You've been warned.

The books I like may not be what you like, and the way I review my books might differ from others. I'm not that good in writing reviews, but I do my best and try to be honest. Reading books is fun, sharing it is even better.

I very much welcome book recommendations! I'd love to read as much books as I can.

If you ever have a need to contact me, just leave a comment for me, tweet, or send an e-mail to my personal e-mail address at : gvagito(at)gmail(dot)com.

Tin through the eyes of Kai:

As Tin has yet to provide her profile, let me provide a general idea of who she is. (She says she's still thinking what kind of nice things she'll write about herself).

Tin is my college buddy/best friend/ older sister all rolled into one. My love for books and anything related to them was mainly sustained, supported and shared by Tin. She loves collecting books and I always get to borrow from her, thus the lack of books in my own collection since I get everything from her.

She's also a great writer and reviewer, more critical and into details than me. Tin tends to write way better than I do, so her reviews are always fun to read, especially when it conflicts with mine. She provides a more mature and more opinionated and clearer view of everything.

If you ever have the need to contact Tin, you can tweet her, or send an e-mail to her personal e-mail address: tintin.nolasco(at)gmail(dot)com.
