Summary (from Goodreads):

Sawyer Dodd has it all. She's a star track athlete, choir soloist, and A-student. And her boyfriend is the handsome all-star Kevin Anderson. But behind the medals, prom pictures, and perfect smiles, Sawyer finds herself trapped in a controlling, abusive relationship with Kevin. When he dies in a drunk-driving accident, Sawyer is secretly relieved. She's free. Until she opens her locker and finds a mysterious letter signed by "an admirer" and printed with two simple words: "You're welcome."

Why we're waiting for Truly, Madly, Deadly:

It's an understatement to say that I want this book. I am DYING to read this book. The summary made me shudder a little bit while I was reading it, but this sounds like the perfect Dark YA mystery suspense I've been searching for. I will devour this novel when I get my hands on it.

Summary (from Goodreads):

It’s been four years since I slept, and I suspect it is killing me.

Instead of sleeping, Parker Chipp enters the dream of the last person he’s had eye contact with. He spends his nights crushed by other people’s fear and pain, by their disturbing secrets—and Parker can never have dreams of his own. The severe exhaustion is crippling him. If nothing changes, Parker could soon be facing psychosis and even death.

Then he meets Mia. Her dreams, calm and beautifully uncomplicated, allow him blissful rest that is utterly addictive. Parker starts going to bizarre lengths to catch Mia’s eye every day. Everyone at school thinks he’s gone over the edge, even his best friend. And when Mia is threatened by a true stalker, everyone thinks it’s Parker.

Suffering blackouts, Parker begins to wonder if he is turning into someone dangerous. What if the monster stalking Mia is him after all?

Why I'm waiting for Insomnia:

Okay, that cover is freaky. This book reminds me a little bit of Lucid and also Lisa McMann's Wake series, but I like how there's a twist in this story by J.R. Johansson. It's really intriguing and scary at the same time.

  2. Insomnia looks like it's going to be really interesting and I can't wait to read it. As someone who has actually suffered from insomnia, I can certainly relate to the sleep issues and stretching them to a speculative level doesn't take away from that. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
