[The Teen Book Scene Blog Tour] Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout Into the Past Guest Post

Hey guys!

I'm back with another tour post for all of you! It's my turn to post something for The Half-Blood tour and we have Jennifer over in the blog to tell the books she was reading back then.

What I was reading? And What I wish I was reading.

Age 5
What I was reading? I have no idea what I was reading at age 5, but I’m sure it involves a lot of pictures and rhyming phrases.
What I wish I was reading? Well, I don’t know about me but I know my parents wish Go the F**K to Sleep was available then.

Age 11
What I was reading? Goosebumps and Fear Street.
What I wish I was reading? Wouldn’t change a thing. Those books were awesome.

Age 16
What I was reading? Over the top historical romances. I went through this phase with historical. I swear to you I had over 200 books.
What I wish I was reading? I wish I was 16 when Twilight or the Mortal Instruments Series came out. It would be pretty cool to get caught up in the fandom at the age.

Age 20
What I was reading? College textbooks and reading requirements. Yawn.
What I wish I was reading? Anything other than what I was reading.

Thank you for having me!

Half-Blood (Covenant #1)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Don't forget to buy a copy of Half-Blood when it comes out!

I wish I was reading the Vampire Academy series, Immortals series, Evernight series and House of Night series back when they first came out. I think I'm out in the loop most of the time because these books/series are popular and I haven't read them at all! *hangs head in shame*

  1. Other characters I enjoyed were Deacon, yes I liked him, and Caleb. I've always been fond of the name Caleb and in Half-Blood, I completely fell for his character. He's the perfect, good-looking, guy best friend and he can come be my friend any day of the week!

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
