Follow Friday / Book Blogger Hop (28)

I haven't done this in a while, wow. How are you all doing? It's finally Friday, and I feel so tired, I want this day to just end so I can go home and sleep myself away. *sigh*

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View.

To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host { Parajunkee.com } and any one else you want to follow on the list
2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers - http://bookaholicdoesblogging.blogspot.com
3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing.
4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
7. If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

The question for this week: How did you come up with your blog name?

Let's see. Before book blogging I was addicted to all things Japanese, so when I was trying to think of a name for my blog, I was thinking of something that would immediately make people think that I like Japanese stuff AND reading. So I picked a Japanese Deity/Goddess' name and put the word "reads" next to it. Silly, right? I do think Amaterasu is a very interesting Goddess. And hey, the Japanese Imperial Family claims they're a descendant of this Goddess too. Cool, huh?

The question for this week: Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?
I read several at once! I know a lot of people thinks it's confusing, but it works for me. Usually when I can't get into one book (which I really need to read) I tend to switch books/genre so I can take a break, and then shift back, whichever I can finish first. It's rare for me to drop everything else I'm reading for one book, I usually do that when the book I've picked up is really good and I don't want to be distracted by another book.

I promise to reply to every comment I'll get! :) Happy Friday, everyone!

  1. I really love the meaning behind your blog's name! It's so cool! I read two or more books at once too. At first, it caused me a headache but now I'm getting used to it ;)

  3. Hopping by!! I really need to try reading another book when I get bored with a book. That might help, instead of trying to push through it, which seems like it takes forever to finish!

    Happy Friday!

  6. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

  8. I read a lot of books at a time, too and switch between them because I start too many at a time and have to balance them out.

    Have a great weekend!

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
