Waiting on Wednesday (18)

Lovely ladies (and gents) who reads my blog, here I am again! *waves* I always love doing this meme because I get to share amazing and upcoming book finds! Which of course, increases my TBR pile. But still, WoW is probably my most beloved meme. :)

This is a somewhat special WoW because I'm featuring 4 books. Yep, you've read that right. I can't seem to narrow down my selection, so I'm featuring all 4! We have a dystopian, paranormal, and 2 contemp novels! So now you can imagine how big my TBR list is for 2011.

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

As they grow close, Chelsea finds that Clint's haunted by his own tragedy. Will their romance end up hurting them all over again—or finally heal their heartbreak?

Title: The Summer of Firsts and Lasts by Terra Elan McVoy

Three sisters. One life-changing summer.

Calla loves summer because summer means Duncan. They’ve been best friends for years, but Calla has never worked up the nerve to tell him how she really feels. This summer, the summer before college, is Calla's last chance.

Violet isn't much of a rule breaker in real life. But this isn't real life, this is summer, and Violet is determined to make the most of it. Besides, a little sneaking out never hurt anyone. And sneaking out with James is 100% worth the risk...even though James is completely off-limits.

Daisy has never been the sister that boys notice, but when sparks fly with Joel at the first bonfire of summer, it seems so easy and right. So why is being his girlfriend so complicated?

Title: Chime by Franny Billingsley
Release Date: March 17 2011

Briony lives in fear her secret will be found out, even as she believes she deserves the worst kind of punishment.

Then Eldric comes along with his golden lion eyes and mane of tawny hair. He's as natural as the sun, and treats her as if she's extraordinary. And everything starts to change. As many secrets as Briony has been holding, there are secrets even she doesn't know.

Why I'm waiting for Dark Parties:

I've had my eye on this book for a while now. A place closed off to the rest of the world? I absolutely love the premise of the story, and I'm very intrigued to see how it's going to turn out.

Why I'm waiting for Playing Hurt:

Just so you know, Holly is one of the nicest authors I've come across! I've always had a special spot in my heart for real, contemporary YA novels and Playing Hurt comes up high in my list. Doesn't it give off a "Cutting Edge" vibe? Though this isn't about skating... It's about healing two people, overcoming tragedies and of course, love.

Why I'm waiting for The Summer of Firsts and Lasts:

I have Pure in my TBR pile and I've been pining for After the Kiss for a long time now and now Terra Elan McVoy has a new book coming out! I can't believe I haven't read even one of her books, and like I've mentioned before, I love stories that revolves around sisters. Definitely looking out for this one.

Why I'm waiting for Chime:

Paranormal is one of my beloved genres, and it made me love the genre more when I've read a couple of fantastic YA Paranormal (Siren!), so I will give Chime a try. The girl in the cover looks like a doll. A very pretty and creepy doll...

Share your WoWs for this week, please. I'm in the mood to discover more awesome books in your posts!
