Waiting on Wednesday (17)

My week just got better! :) Still kind of slow, but better. I'm totally drowning in Ash love. Yes, I am reading The Iron Daughter. ^^

We have 3 awesome books for our WoW this week. I really really love our selections this week, I live for these 3 books, and I shall patiently wait for them to be released. I just hope I can wait that long. XD

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

Title: Instructions for a Broken Heart by Kim Culbertson
Release Date: May 1st 2011
Published by: Sourcebooks Fire
Summary:

Three days before her drama club’s trip to Italy, Jessa Gardner discovers her boyfriend in the costume barn with another girl. Jessa is left with a care package from her best friend titled “Top Twenty Reasons He’s a Slimy Jerk Bastard,” instructing her to do one un-Jessa-like thing each day of the trip. At turns hilarious and heart- wrenching, Instructions for a Broken Heart paints a magical Italy in which Jessa learns she must figure out life—and romance—for herself.

Title: Ashes, Ashes by Jo Treggiari
Release Date: June 1st 2011
Published by: Scholastic
Summary:

Epidemics, floods, droughts--for sixteen-year-old Lucy, the end of the world came and went, taking 99% of the population with it. As the weather continues to rage out of control, and Sweepers clean the streets of plague victims, Lucy survives alone in the wilds of Central Park. But when she's rescued from a pack of hunting dogs by a mysterious boy named Aidan, she reluctantly realizes she can't continue on her own. She joins his band of survivors, yet, a new danger awaits her: the Sweepers are looking for her. There's something special about Lucy, and they will stop at nothing to have her.

Title: Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles
Release Date: May 24th 2011
Published by: Walker Books for Young Readers
Summary:

Luis Fuentes is a good boy who doesn't live with the angst that his big brothers, Alex and Carlos, have always lived with. Luis is smart, funny, and has big dreams of becoming an astronaut. But when he falls for the wrong girl, Luis enters a dark world he's never known, and just when he thinks he's got life all figured out, learns some disturbing news about his family that destroys his positive outlook on life. Will that Fuentes bad boy streak come out with a vengeance and lure Luis to live on the edge like his new girlfriend and his own father?

Why I'm waiting for Instructions for a Broken Heart: Aside from the fabulous cover? I think Kim is one of the best YA writers out there! I absolutely loved the summary, what more if I read the book?

Why I'm waiting for Ashes, Ashes: One word: DYSTOPIAN. After the whirlwind that is The Hunger Games, the genre's got a special place in my heart (and my bookshelf) and I want to read more dystopian. More! Ashes, Ashes sounds like it has a HUGE potential to be a great book basing on the summary. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

Why I'm waiting for Chain Reaction: I can probably list a hundred reasons why, but I'll keep it to a minimum for now. Simone Elkeles is one of my favorite YA authors ever, and her Perfect Chemistry series is an absolute favorite of mine! I'm particularly excited for this book because its unlike the other two. The roles are reversed, so this time, the last Fuentes brother chases after a bad girl. Very interesting, if you ask me. I will do anything to get a copy of this book!

So what are your WoWs for this week, everyone? Please share!
