In My Mailbox (11)

Lovely Sunday morning greeting to everyone! How are you all?

I'm still fuming whenever I remember what happened to me yesterday. The postman brought me a notice for 2 books, and along with that came a tax assessment sheet that says I need to pay ONE THOUSAND PESOS just to get the books. I mean, seriously? Why would I pay that amount for two books I didn't even buy? I asked friends how much they pay if they get a book plus a few other stuff and they only pay 40 pesos. I'm so frustrated! I got a shirt and a pair of earrings along with the book, so that might be the reason why they're charging me a lot! I have to sort it out with the post office.

Anyway, moving on, here's what I got this week.

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.

Bought:
Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers

From author:
Poser by Sue Wyshynski
NaNoWriMo sticker from the lovely Tina of One More Page, our Manila ML.

For review:
The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa (thank you Harlequin!)
Seers of Light by Jennifer DeLucy
Over the Moon by Diane Daniels

I'm so excited to read Personal Demons, but I'm still reading Nalini Singh's Angel's Blood and Jennifer DeLucy's Seers of Light, both of which are just AMAZING! I will die of awesomeness if I read Personal Demons too, but I'm going to read it soon!

So what's in your mailbox this week?

  2. I have problems with the Dubai post office also. I never know when they are going to decide to impose an import fee on something. Sometimes the bookstores will have the books right away, and sometimes I can't wait and have to order it from the states.
I love physical books, but the Kindle is an awesome to avoid the fees (and the wait).

Anyway, all great titles you got this week! Can't wait to see what you think of Seers of Light - been trying to get my hands on that one for a while.

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
