Want Books (2): I want to be Jamie Baker! (No really...) + Giveaway

Want Books? is a weekly meme hosted here at Chachic’s Book Nook and features released books that you want but you can’t have for some reason. It can be because it’s not available in your country, in your library or you don’t have the money for it right now. Everyone is free to join, just grab the image above. Leave a comment with a link to your post so I can do a roundup with each post.
There are just some books you want. Badly. If you can just see my to-buy list you'll probably cower in a corner with me and cry tears of blood. The amount of money I need is exorbitant, I tell you. Anybody generous enough to help me conquer my list? *bats eyelashes*

I'm highlighting a book I want so bad I might have nightmares if I can't have it. Kidding aside, this is one of the books I want to have on paperback, so I can hug it and kiss it at night. :) I present to you...

Being Jamie Baker by Kelly Oram!

"Most superhero stories start with a meteor shower or a nasty insect bite, but mine actually starts with a kiss..."

An accident that should end in tragedy instead gives seventeen-year-old Jamie Baker a slew of uncontrollable superhuman abilities.

To keep her secret safe Jamie socially exiles herself, earning the title of Rocklin High’s resident ice queen. But during a supercharged encounter with star quarterback Ryan Miller she literally kisses anonymity goodbye. Now the annoyingly irresistible Ryan will stop at nothing to melt the heart of the ice queen and find out what makes her so special.

Unfortunately, Ryan is not the only person on to her secret. Will Jamie learn to contain her unstable powers before being discovered by the media or turned into a government lab rat?

More importantly, can she throw Ryan Miller off her trail before falling in love with him?
I think Tina's love for anything pink has rubbed off me, that cover is just fabulous! And yes, I love that its pink! I came across this book accidentally in one of my hops, can't remember which blog, but the moment I've read the summary, it went straight to my wishlist/to buy/to read list! A super heroine! Oh my interest is piqued alright...

Sadly, no matter how much I scour the bookshelves of every bookstore I come across, I can't find a copy. I don't think they're releasing the book here, so imagine how sad I was. :( (yes, the sad face appears!)

But! Never fear! I got an e-mail from the fabulous and generous Kelly Oram and she's giving away 4 AUTOGRAPHED copies of her book, Being Jamie Baker on all month this November! Yes, one lucky person (hopefully I be one of them) gets to win a copy every week! HOW COOL IS THAT?

Visit Kelly's website and blog here: http://www.kellyoram.com/ and stalk her online. No seriously!

Follow her blog
Follow her on Twitter
Friend her on Goodreads (and say hi!)
Add her on Facebook

That's four chances of winning, guys! Four! Kelly will pick randomly from one of the followers on all four stalkable sites, so go enter!!!

Not yet convinced to enter the contest?

So, what do you guys think?

  1. Yay, thanks for doing a Want Books post! I included your post in the roundup. That's a cute pink cover for a book. :) I also received an email from Kelly but I haven't had a chance to read the excerpt. I'll check it out soon.

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
