Waiting on Wednesday (12)

I feel bad today.

Okay, I am sick. But I have two posts scheduled today, including this one and a review. Enjoy, everyone! :)

Today I am featuring books from two awesome authors. One is my favorite ever since I've laid my eyes on Sleepless. The other, because she's a really nice and amazing person!

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

Title: The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton
Release Date: October 2011
Summary (From Goodreads):

London, 1871

Orphaned and living in an abandoned clockmaker’s shop adjoining Charing Cross railway station, sixteen year old Tiki picks the pockets of passing travelers to survive. Her efforts support not only herself, but her ‘family’ of orphans, including fragile five year old Clara.

When Tiki steals the Queen’s ring, she thinks she’s solved their problems. That is, until Rieker, a tough from the north end, shows up in Charing Cross and informs her that the ring is really a reservoir that holds an age-old truce between the world of faerie and man. Unless guarded, faeries will search for the ring and destroy it, as well as anyone who has knowledge of the ring’s location...

Title: Starstruck by Cyn Balog
Release Date: 2011
Summary (From Goodreads):

When Gwendolyn “Dough” Reilly’s boyfriend and best friend Wish moves away in seventh grade, the only consolation she can find is in her family bakery’s donuts. Now, it’s sophomore year, and Wish is coming back. But in only three years, they’ve both changed—drastically. She’s seriously overweight, and suddenly Wish is the most popular guy in school, and girls everywhere want him. Dough has doubts that appearances don’t matter and that Wish can love her as she is, so she launches into a plan designed to keep them together. That is, until she discovers that Wish’s gorgeous looks and charm might not be all they appear to be.

Special thanks to Kiki for all the encouragements and for the support we got during the typhoon, we needed that. And I wish October is just around the corner! I can't wait for The Faerie Ring.

  5. The Faerie Ring is on my wishlist as well! Also, Cyn Balog has a very cool-sounding book scheduled to be released at an even later date (I think in 2012 sometime?) called Living Backwards.

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
