In My Mailbox (9)

This week is an ebook galore for Amaterasu Reads. We got some electronic copies of books we'd love to read from the authors themselves! You guys are awesome! Sorry if you haven't heard back from us for the interview questions, but I figured I'd ask after I read the book so I can ask better and more precise questions pertaining to the book. :)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.

Received from authors

Jenny Pox by J.L. Bryan
Black Halo by S.L. Naeole
Bird Song by S.L. Naeole
Cinders by Michelle Argyle
Branded: Fall of Angels by Keary Taylor
Hush Money by Susan Bischoff

I wasn't able to get some of the actual, physical copy of the books I've been waiting for since last week from the post office. (again!) They said that my books are already there but I can't get them until I receive the notice. Why can't I get them when they're already there? ARGH!

Anyway, that's what I got this week, what's in your mailboxes, everyone?

Also, is anyone here joining NaNoWriMo this year? I'm still doing my research, I just had my wonderful burst of inspiration a while ago and I'm straightening my plot / outline but I might be joining! Yay! And hopefully I get to finish this year. :)

  1. Great books. Cinders sounds interesting. I don't think I'll do NaNoWriMo but I think I'll try to write more in Nov.

  2. Hey Alison! Yeah, Cinders is a story about what happens after Cinderella's "happily ever after". I'm very curious to read it too!

I'm still thinking whether to really join NaNoWriMo though, that is if I can straighten out my plot and finish my outline. I only have a rough draft right now and I only have 5 days!

  3. Kamusta Kai? :) I'm soo jealous of all the books you got in your mailbox! That's a huge slew of books for review. xD I just finished up my last copies I got for review, so I'm back to library books, haha.

Like Alison, Cinders totally caught my attention (cover did, actually). It looks really interesting! I was also intrigued by S.L. Naeole's books. I'm looking forward to reviews of them. <3

I'm not joining NaNoWriMo this year. Why? Midterms are stressing me the hell out. Finals are pretty much right after that. It's like my professors collaborated to make sure my midterms/finals were absolute hell. If you opened my brain, I'm sure scrambled bits of chemistry, biology, and history would fling itself at you. ANYWAY LONG RANT SHORT, if you do join, I'd love to see what you come up with! :)

  4. hey Kristina! you know we should totally talk. you got YM? I know I added you on twitter. LOL, I think we have a lot in common we can talk nonstop for hours!

Yeah, I read really slow these days so I have these 6 books up for review and some other books in my TBR pile. I also have interview questions I need to send! AHHHHH!

I'm joining NaNo! The Regional ML is a really good friend of mine/fellow blogger/bookworm/colleague so I kind of need to. But! I already have a plot I'm working out so its all good! I'm doing fantasy this year. It's about a girl who can see the red string of fate. ;)

I love getting comments from my readers and fellow bookworms, and I try my best to respond to all of them. Feel free to give me a piece of your thoughts. Also, this is an award-free blog. I simply don't have the time to highlight them anymore, but thank you for thinking of my blog!
